12 Colors of sand
There is a thin coat of adhesive under each pre-drawn section. Peel up the paper, then sprinkle your chosen sand color on the adhesive. Shake off the excess to reveal a rich, textured color layer.

Work section by section to block out the iconic features — vibrant eyes, floral cheeks, and marigold borders. The textured sand locks together cleanly without bleeding.

Etching tool and cups
Before the adhesive fully cures, use our fine wood stylus to etch patterns, spirals, and traditional details directly into the sand, then fill the lines with a contrasting color.

Slide your finished calavera into the clear sleeve to protect it, then set your masterwork on the ofrenda or mantel. Optionally, glue crystals on top of the sand and let dry before displaying.
